And in other house news, our neighbors are busily tearing out practically everything Les did to his house when he lived there, including the planters, stone walls, fences, and most importantly, the awful, huge bushes that lined the driveway on our side. If you look at that top photo, you can see that it's possible to look all the way down the street from our driveway now. Yippee!
Tomorrow I will try to take some photos so you can see all the destruction (and I mean this in the most positive and loving way) that is taking place over there. So far, I really like our neighbors, even though I haven't even seen them yet. (Logies, they are about your age.)
Hey, that was going to be our house!
ReplyDeleteAnd holy smokes, that's an incredible number of tulips!
Aw, they bought your garden space! Boo! Just remember, the house across the street from us can be bought and demolished, then turned into a beautiful garden for 130k. Just throwin' that out there again.
ReplyDeleteWowie, do you know what they paid for Les's old casa? Are they both lawyers or something? Seems pricey for a 20-something, yes?
Your garden looks gorgeous!! Chris and I have to come during the summer sometime so he can experience it.
Actually, the buyer is the son of the agent who listed the house, so I'm guessing there was some parental help with the purchase. The son is a real estate agent as well (family business), so it's also possible he's had some good sales commissions recently. Bob knows the purchase price; I'll ask him and let you know.
ReplyDeleteNEWSFLASH: They paid $225,000 for Les's house.
ReplyDeleteI would have paid that much! Dang it!
ReplyDeletePS - Your tulips are numerous, and awesome.
