Hey, guess what? I just got a decision back from the Academy of Management Journal on my courage paper, and IT WASN'T REJECTED. Instead, the editor gave it a "revise and resubmit" decision, which means it had enough merit to receive a full review pending the fixing of several key issues. A lot of people in the field of management consider AMJ to be the top journal in the field, so I take this as terrific news. (Bob, on the other hand, is less convinced it is good news, because the "key issues" that need to be fixed are not small.)
So, although my paper may not ultimately be published, a "revise and resubmit" decision is a giant step toward publication in a really good journal. And, even if it isn't ultimately published in AMJ, it will be published somewhere.
Woo HOO!
And tomorrow is graduation, which means Sunday, my summer officially begins.
Woo HOO! (I think)
ReplyDeleteAt least it's summer for you now!
Uch, I HATE revising stuff I wrote that (in my opinion) was perfect. Well happy revising anyway, that's way cool!
ReplyDeleteOooh publishing!!! Super cool. Good luck with the revising process. Editing and revising are my favorite!
