Seattle rocks

We had a fantastic trip to Seattle! I'm going to review the trip backwards because that's how Blogger uploads the photos and I don't feel like rearranging them. The trip ended with Butters
taking a little nap at my feet! He is quite a debonaire kittie and I was honored.

Before that, I asked Dunc and Oly to sit on Oly's purple chair and pose. A boy and his dog. So cute...

Sometimes Butters is allowed outside for "supervised play." This photo happened just before Butters began to do kittie gymnastics, after which he escaped from Dunc's grip.

Here we are at Whole Foods and Duncan is holding "Duncan's picks" -- tortillas with jalapenos (I think) and super thick (yet delicious) yogurt.

Duncan's Whole Foods store, with Duncan standing near the door.

We went to Chateau Ste Michelle's winery where we learned educational things (like) such as how oakiness affects wine, that some wines taste like litchi nuts, and the cost of those barrels they age the wine in. (Sorry, Logs and Jody. We heard you visited but missed the tour.)

We had dinner at a fantastic (although very, very warm) Mexican restaurant. Really, I think it might be the best Mexican food I've ever had--shrimp with some peppery, smokey cream sauce.

We went to the dog park with Oly, and he swam! This was very cool, and Oly showed us his ball retrieving routine. (He poked the water with his paw until the ball came up. He's smart.)

And when we first got there, we went to Glo's, a tiny restaurant where the hostess/waitress knew Duncan and exactly what he always orders. ("He's a regular," she explained.)

We did a bunch of other fun stuff too, but I didn't get any photos of it. Most notably, we went to Vashon Island and had an incredible organic dinner at La Boucherie. Hey, when you go to the La Boucherie Web site, scroll down that thing on the left side of the page. There's a link to Dunc's blog! The heading is "Le Boucherie loves these guys!"

Hopefully Dunc, Bets and Bob will fill in the blanks. Thanks for showing us a super fantastic weekend, Dunc and Betsy!

Update:
Dunc got the new job! We want to see PHOTOS of Duncan in a pressed white shirt.

  1. Awesome Memento-esque rendition of the trip, Momlette!
We shall indeed fill in the blanks with tact and speed!
