We have a monkshood plant that grows right outside our bedroom door. I love this plant because it is gigantic and purply, but it blooms too late in the season. Every year it's a race between the monkshood and the snow. If the snow comes before the monkshood blooms, the plant is a goner until next year. Last year the snow won, but this year, the monkshood won! Yay!
We are routing for all of the little blossoms that have yet to bloom....and it's supposed to snow this week. Bloom, monkshood, bloom!
One day my garden will be as pretty as yours (but I'll probably need your help to achieve that)! Hopefully the snow will hold off a little longer- our cabin visit is coming up and I would hate to be snowed in!
