Kids and guns

I promise this will be my last Brazil post, but one of our students uploaded two amazing/frightening photos that he took when we visited the favela.

I'm thinking the guns are mostly for show, but the idea that so many kids have them is pretty scary. We were asked to not take photos and our student shouldn't have taken them....although someone today explained he'd taken them "by mistake." Oops. We're lucky we didn't all get killed.

Okay....back to cheerier subjects tomorrow!
