A few more...

In case you haven't had enough photos from the Riley-thon, I thought I'd post a few more cute ones from my trip last week.

Riley has this cute little swirl in the back of her head. My theory is that hair swirls are like fingerprints.

Rick is quite the protector. Handsome, too.

A girl and her dog.

Phyllis likes to cuddle next to Lindy and Riley.

Chris is a fantastic dad.

Here's my cute husband in his letterman sweater. He's donating it to the Texas state archives. They have a collection of things from when the basketball team won the championship in 1960.

Back from Texas

I had a great visit with Lindy, Chris, and Riley Cat, and I'm pleased to report that Riley is the world's most perfect child. Really, she is a sweet, good-natured baby and Lindy and Chris are the most competent, loving parents ever. We spent a lot of time watching Riley sleep and taking pictures of all of her cute faces. She is adorable.

Riley likes getting her hair washed! I didn't think it was possible for babies to not scream during baths, but once again, here is more proof of her perfectness.

The cats took turns being my roomie. Jessie reminds me of Ribbie, which made me a little sad, but she kept my legs warm at night. Cute kittie.

Kathy and Jim came over for dinner, and we all looked at Riley some more.

Rick had to wear his satellite dish because he was gnawing on his leg. I don't think he likes it much, but he sure looks stylish when he wears it, so we took a million photos of that, too.

We tried to take a Mimi-and Riley portrait just before I left on Friday, but Riley wasn't really in the mood. Luckily every face Riley makes is adorable.

On Friday night we went to Bob's fiftieth aniversary of his college basketball team's national championship. I got to meet all of his teammates and their wives, and all the players talked for a few minutes about what they are doing now. It was a lot of fun. Here they are with their medals.

Thanks for letting me visit for a whole week, Lindy and Chris. I sure had fun getting to know my first grandbaby.

Cutest philtrum ever

And if you're wondering what a philtrum is, here is the answer. These two photos doen't really do it justice, but maybe Lindy can take a super close-up with her fancy pants camera so you can fully experience Riley's cute philtrum:

I'll write more about my visit when I get home, but three highlights I'll hit now are (1) a houseful of sweet animals, two of whom hang out in Riley's room a lot, (2) pizza! and (3) I TURNED IN MY GRADES LAST NIGHT.

Chris made a fabulous pizza with homemade crust, artichokes, spinach and goat cheese--award winning, and deliciously steamy.

More later....
