An interesting July 4th in Utah

To celebrate the fourth of July yesterday we went to see the movie Buck (about Buck Buchanan, who the Horse Whisperer was modeled after--fabulous movie) while Christopher went SNOWBOARDING.

It's been 90-ish here over the last week or so, but Snowbird still has 738 inches of snow. Snowboarders yesterday were treated to images like these:


Tomorrow we are having a grand going-away party at our house for our good friend Mike Glauser, who is leaving Westminster to develop an entrepreneurship program for Utah State.  I'm going to miss him.

Kibbie continues to improve.  Go Kibbie!

    The first time I really learned to ski (I was 14) was on my birthday in June. Still weird to think there is snow in Utah in July...
